Friends of the Library: Final 2011 Hertha Heller Forum

The final FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY Hertha Heller FORUM will be held on Sunday, March 27, at 2 o'clock in the auditorium of the Main Library.  The Forum will feature Mississippi author Ellen Douglas, and will be presented by Eugene Ham, a life-long friend of the author.  Mr. Ham is a retired teacher, editor, illustrator, and a writer of book reviews.  Influenced by Faulkner, Ms. Douglas has authored seven novels and two books of short stories.  Mr. Ham will provide an overview of her body of work and the themes which are treated in most of her work, especially in her most popular novel, Can't Quit You, Baby.  The Forum is free.
