Join us, September 30, from 9-3pm, for another great craft class with Crystal Kitchens!
Triangle Loom Weaving: Beginner and Beyond
Three-Hour or Six-Hour Workshop
Learn to weave on a triangle frame loom with continuous thread, and how to finish and join the triangles. In this workshop we’ll use a 36” loom to make a child’s shawl or adult scarf. We’ll have a fashion show of scarves, shawls, ruanas and ponchos to give you ideas. You’ll learn how to make your own triangle looms in various sizes. No weaving experience is required.
For those who want a shorter workshop, spend three hours and use a 21” loom to make a neckerchief.
For those who already know how to weave on a triangle loom with continuous thread, you have two options: weave with continuous thread in other weaving patterns, such as twill and leno, and experiment with planning colors for plaids; or learn to weave with cut threads in the log cabin pattern.
The leader will bring all the tools and other supplies you’ll need to use during the workshop.
Bring a sack lunch.
The maximum number of students is 10.
The supply fee of $8 is due the day of class.
