Small Business Lunch & Learn: Disaster Preparedness for Your Business
Small Business Lunch & Learn: “Disaster Preparedness for Your Business”
Monday, April 2, 2012
12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.
Huntsville-Madison County Public Library, 915 Monroe Street
Second Floor Events Room
Presenter: Linda Putnam, Restore Your Niche
Small to medium sized businesses are the most vulnerable in the event of an emergency. According to the Institute for Business and Home Safety, an estimated 25 percent of businesses do not reopen following a major disaster. How long a business is disrupted is dependent on how well the plan to recover was developed.
There are many risks for a small business owner to manage. Some you can control and some come out of the blue. Learn how to complete a Risk Assessment Checklist and make simple changes to protect your profits.
Bring a sack lunch. Drinks will be provided. Questions? Contact Mary Moore at 256-532-5975 or askus [at] hmcpl [dot] org.
Second Floor Meeting Room
The second floor meeting room is open only for library-sponsored events. It is not available for reservation by the public, unlike our other meeting rooms.
