Hike with The Land Trust
We are proud to partner with the Land Trust of North Alabama, to offer this family-friendly, fun and easy hike on the lovely Wildflower Trail at the foot of Monte Sano Mountain. The trail is 1.1 miles and will take about one to one and half hours to complete.
General guidelines for the hike: The hike will begin at 9 am. Please wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and bug repellant. We advise against bringing children under 5 years old. You may bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the hike in nearby Hermitage Park. If it rains the day of the hike (and possibly the day before) the hike will be cancelled.
Directions: California to Hermitage Avenue, left onto Cleermont; Wildflower trailhead at end of street. Registration is limited to 20 participants. To register, call Sophie Young at 256-532-2362.
