Write Right Lunch & Learn: "Non-Fiction with a Niche Publisher"
Tuesday, July 10
12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m
Main Library, 915 Monroe Street
Second Floor Events Room
Presenter: Jane DeNeefe, author of Rocket City Rock and Soul: Huntsville Musicians Remember the 1960s
DeNeefe will discuss the challenges of researching, writing, publishing and marketing Rocket City Rock and Soul. From the origins of the research committee dubbed the "Rocket City Rockophiles" to the celebratory book release events featuring musicians interviewed for the book, DeNeefe will offer amusing stories and hard-won tips about the obstacles and rewards of turning an interview-based local history project and ephemera collection into a book. Copies of the book will be available.
Bring a sack lunch. Drinks will be provided. Questions? Contact Mary Moore at askus [at] hmcpl [dot] org or 256-532-5975.
