BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT
The word "amistad" means friendship, yet amistad has come to represent so much more- the hard work and friendship of abolitionists and activists that fought for a society free of slavery. This is the perfect opportunity to talk about friendship. What does friendship mean? How is your child able to see the good in their friends, even if they're very different? Using a paper chain, children will explore thoughts on friendship.
