Triangle Loom Weaving
Signups closed for this Event
Learn how to weave on a triangle frame loom at the Madison Public Library on Friday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. During the workshop you will learn to weave with continuous thread, and how to finished and join the triangles. We will use a 36" loom to make a child's shawl or an adult scarf. We will have a fashion show of scarves, shawls, ruanas, and ponchos to give you ideas. You'll learn how to make your own triangle looms in various sizes. No weaving experience is necessary.
For those who want a shorter workshop, spend 3 hours and use a 21" loom to make a neckerchief. If you already know how to weave on a triangle look with continous thread, we will have other options for you.
The supply fee for this workshop is $6 and is open to ages 14+. The teacher will provide all of the tools and supplies you'll need during the workshop. Please bring a sack lunch. Reservations are required.
