How to Do Things: Leaf Pounding

Maximum number of students (age 14+):  12.
Crystal Kitchens of Huntsville Fiber Guild shows how to transfer the imprint of leaves onto 100% cotton fabric.  In class, we’ll transfer the natural dyes of leaves to fabric.  At home, you’ll be able to set the dyes with a natural chemical action.

Bring a medium size flat-head hammer, a wooden cutting board, 2-inch wide masking tape (not painter’s tape), an old (well worn) bath towel, and freshly picked green leaves.

Crystal will bring all the tools and other supplies for use in class.
