Summer Reading at Monrovia - Magnetic Money

It's true, money is magnetic! Believe it or not, dollar bills are printed with magnetic inks as a way to reduce counterfeiting. We’ll use Neodymium magnets that are composed of neodymium, iron, boron, and a few transition metals making them some of the strongest magnets in the world to explore magnetism in the world around us, including common objects. For kids from kindergarten through sixth grade.  For more information contact mfarley [at] hmcpl [dot] org or call 256-489-3392.
