100 Years of World War I on Film: Beneath Hill 60

As part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War II, we are showing five films released over the past century with the war as the setting and backdrop.

August 25 – Beneath Hill 60 (2010)

True account of Australian miner Oliver Woodward enlisted to lead a platoon tunneling and detonating high explosives beneath a German bunker in Belgium in 1916.

The film will be shown in the Second Floor Events Room at the Main Library at 6:00 PM.
