100 Years of World War I on Film: Joyeux Noel

As part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War II, we are showing five films released over the past century with the war as the setting and backdrop.

August 18 – Joyeux Noel (2005)

French film about the World War I Christmas truce of 1914 when German, French and Scottish troops dropped their weapons and fraternized and celebrated the holiday together.

The film will be shown in the Second Floor Events Room at the Main Library at 6:00 PM.
