100 Years of World War I on Film: Paths of Glory

As part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War II, we are showing five films released over the past century with the war as the setting and backdrop.

August 4 – Paths of Glory (1957)

Early film from Stanley Kubrick dealing with a group of French soldiers who refuse to fight in a suicidal attack and the attempt by their commanding officer to defend them in the ensuing tribunal. Starring Kirk Douglas.

The film will be shown in the Second Floor Events Room at the Main Library at 6:00 PM.
