Write Right Lunch and Learn: Courting the Muse

Do you think that if you haven’t established a successful writing career by the time you’re 40 that it’s too late? It’s never too late, according to Lynn Roberts. She spent almost 40 years writing a novel that was finally published under the title ‘Souls to Keep’ when she was 72 so she is eminently qualified to speak on the patience necessary for ‘courting the muse’ as well as the perseverance required to stay with a book from gestation to publication, even if it takes 40 years. Lynn Roberts worked in federal civil service for over 40 years, served tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, and after retirement, aside from working on the novel, took on various odd jobs including kennel keeping and housekeeping. Coffee and water will be provided.
