About the Artist
Doris Sisk is an award winning artist in mixed media. She graduated from Oklahoma City University and spent the first fifteen years of her marriage moving around the United States and raising a family. In 1971, Doris and her family moved to Huntsville and from 1974 to 1977, she worked as an interior decorator. Doris then became a high successful, well-known REALTOR for over twenty years until she retired in 2003. During her retirement, Doris began to explore art again. She took watercolor and Chinese painting classes and enjoyed these mediums until she took an abstract art workshop. During the abstract art workshop, she discovered a new way to express herself through using various types of artistic mediums such as acrylic and mixed media.
