Shen-Wu Chang was born in a small town in Taiwan. He and his wife moved to the US to pursue his study and career in Physics nearly 21 years ago. In 1996, he earned his PhD degree from Auburn University and has been working on space plasma research since. His interests in art and knowledge in Physics led him to the field of photography where he found his love in mother nature once again. He learned that the beauty of nature in both worlds is really not much different. He continues to pursue adventures in both fields.

In his endeavor to perfect his photography, Shen-Wu Chang is learning skills from several photographers, including Ansel Adams, Galen Rowell, John Shaw and many others. In particular, he is deeply inspired by Galen Rowell's wisdom throughout his books. In addition to color photos, Shen-Wu has also attempted infrared photography. His favorite subjects of photography include landscape, travel, and wildlife. Besides capturing the beauty of nature, Shen-Wu Chang has been shooting soccer action photos for the AYSO Huntsville region since 2008. He also covered several events and is involved in fund raising activities with his photography for the community.
