Paintings by Gary Anderson

Gary Anderson has worked in Huntsville, Alabama as a technical illustrator since 1983. He graduated from Athens State University where he majored in art and minored in computer science. In his spare time, he paints portraits and landscapes in oil and watercolor. He paints familiar subjects in a realistic, illustrative style, often with a sense of humor.

Gary has recently exhibited at the Huntsville Museum of Art, HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, Carnegie Visual Arts Center in Decatur, the Von Braun Center, and Athens State University. He is a member of the Huntsville Art League. He participates in Therapy Partners’ Da Vinci Dogs fundraiser as an “artist muse” and enjoys donating paintings to charity fund raising events.

Each year Gary helps organize the Athens State University Alumni Art Exhibit. This is an exhibit of works, by current or former students/instructors, that create either professionally or as amateurs.
