Genres 2010: Romance Fiction
GENRES 2010: Romance Fiction is a one-day training conference for librarians on collection development and programming for romance fiction to be held on Friday, August 27, at Huntsville's Main Library downtown. The event will include six break-out sessions, lunch, refreshments, door prizes, giveaways, and the opportunity to meet a dozen romance fiction authors.

- Pre-registration cost: $35 (begins Monday, July 19, lunch included) - register online!
- Registration at the door: $45 (lunch included)
- Cost: $35 pre-registration; $45 on-site registration
- (includes refreshments, box lunch, and raffle ticket)

Guest speakers include editors from Harlequin and Thomas Nelson publishing houses; Joyce Saricks, author of The Readers' Advisory Guide to Genre Fiction, and Heather Miller Cover, reviewer for School Library Journal. Visiting romance authors include Betty Webb, Linda Winstead-Jones, Debra Webb, Tricia Mills, and many more.
GENRES is sponsored by the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library, Romance Writers of America, the Heart of Dixie Chapter of RWA, the Public Library Association, and the Friends of the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library.

- Romance writers will be at tables throughout the atrium to sell and sign copies of books. Librarians can use this time to network and arrange author appearances at their library.
