Helen P. Lee Memorial Endowment

Helen P. Lee, who highly valued books and the knowledge and enjoyment they offer, served as the Branch Manager for the Madison Public Library from June 30, 2003 until her death on January 16, 2008.
Her love for the Madison Public Library was reflected daily in the well-utilized services to the Madison community. All were made possible through Helen’s outstanding and progressive leadership.
Helen P. Lee Day in Madison
Mayor Kirkindall of Madison issued a proclamation declaring Monday, January 21, 2008 as Helen P. Lee Day.

It is an honor for the Friends of the Madison Public Library to establish the Helen P. Lee Memorial Endowment, with an initial contribution of $5,000.
This perpetual endowment will offer a lasting way for her many friends and library patrons to honor her memory and commitment to the Madison Public Library. By making additional donations in her name to this endowment, we can ensure Helen will live on in the very shelves of the Library she so dearly loved.
If you'd like to make a donation in Helen's memory, you may either donate online or download this PDF form. If you use the printed form, you may either bring it in person to the Madison Public Library, or you can mail it to:
