Gurley Library Challenge 5K and Fun Run
Grab your running shoes and join us on May 21, 2011 at 8:00 am for a fun, family 5K and 1 mile fun run/walk event to support the Gurley Public Library.
Run our fast, flat 5K course through historic downtown Gurley and the surrounding farm land, or join us for a 1 mile run or walk. The course is certified (AL99008JD) with mile time splits, aid stations, and traffic control by the Gurley Police and Fire Departments. Both the 5K and one mile fun run will begin behind the Madison County Elementary School, at 8:00 a.m. for 5K participants, and 9:00 a.m. for the 1-mile fun run participants. Race numbers and t-shirts for the first 150 registered 5K runners will be available for pick-up in the Madison County Elementary gymnasium from 7:00 a.m. until 7:50 a.m. on race day.

Male and Female Age Divisions

| 35-39 | 75-79 |
| 40-44 | 80+ |
| 45-49 |
Gift certificates will be awarded to the top male/female finishers in the overall and master categories. Awards will be presented for the top 3 finishers in each age division. Ribbons will be given to all Fun Run finishers. After the race, stay and enjoy homemade treats and other refreshments.
Entry Fees
Gurley 5K Library Challenge: $10 Pre-registration (postmarked by May 14, 2011); $12 at the event
1-Mile Fun Run/Walk: $5 Pre-registered or at the event
