We can't issue PINs over the phone for security reasons. Visit any of our branches and we'll help you.

Some common mistakes

Check your card number and PIN. It's easy to mistype some numbers. Remember that all library card numbers start with 2156200. Not sure that you've got the right card number or PIN? Visit any of our branches and we'll help you.

Check your cookies

If you're sure you're typing your card number and PIN correctly, your web browser may be configured to not accept cookies. (In Internet Explorer, cookie preferences can be adjusted by selecting the "Tools" menu, selecting "Internet Options...", and selecting the "Privacy" tab.)

Personal firewalls

If you're using a personal firewall program that was installed by you or your PC's manufacturer (like ZoneAlarm or Norton Systemworks) you may have trouble logging into your account or accessing our online databases. Check the documentation for your firewall program for information on how to allow access to sites which are denied. You may need to temporarily disable the firewall software on your PC to test whether this is the cause of your problems.

Scheduled downtime

On Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon, our catalog may be unavailable while we do backup and maintenance.

If you still can't log on, and you need to renew borrowed materials, call the circulation desk at (256) 532-5984 during our hours of operation and we'll renew your items that are eligible for renewal.
