Quilting 101 @ New Hope

Learn how to create your own hand-stitched heirloom during Quilting 101 at the Elizabeth Carpenter Library of New Hope during November and December. Local quiltmaker Linda Solmon will teach classes on Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. at the library, 5496 Main St.

Here’s the class schedule:
    November 14 – Cutting the Pieces
    November 21 – Sewing the Pieces
        Together
    December 5 – Quilting the Block
    December 12 – Hemming the Block
    December 19 – Finishing

There is no charge for the class, but a few small supplies will be required. You can get a supply list at the Carpenter Library circulation desk. For details, call 256-723-2995 or email newhope@hmcpl.org.
