According to AL.com, Glenn Wills has a motto: “Take pictures of everything no matter how mundane. Almost nothing you see now will exist in a hundred years.” Three years ago, the former photojournalist from Alabaster decided to live by those words. The result is the beautiful book, and corresponding blog, called Forgotten Alabama. After more than 25,000 miles and visits to all 67 Alabama counties, Wills took over 10,000 photos of abandoned buildings and churches, forgotten vehicles and dilapidated schools. Join us when this author and photographer visits Madison Public Library to tell us about his journey.
