The Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance is an online resource for anyone
interested in learning more about the disease and exposure to asbestos. Mesothelioma
is often diagnosed later in life due to the latency period associated with asbestos
exposure. Symptoms may not appear until 25-40 years post initial exposure. Our
website provides the most up to date information on recent news, clinical trials,
top doctors and the advocacy work that we do to spread awareness of mesothelioma.

We do not have regular meetings although we do have awareness days, such as the Mesothilioma Awareness Day on September 26 (this is an annual Awareness holiday dedicated to mesothilioma) where we spread awareness and talk about mesothilioma to educate others about the disease and exposure to asbestos. Throughout the year we also periodically host tweet-chats and Facebook Live events that we will announce via our social media and blog.

Alabama Cares, part of the National Family Caregiver Support Program, is a program designed to support Family caregivers by providing information, assistance and resources to help them take care of their aging loved ones and themselves. Alabama Cares will help to keep families together and will allow seniors to age at home instead of in long term care facilities. The caregiver is the primary client.
NOTE: Once qualified this org will help you find a place for your loved one they are not a Day Care facility themselves.
