2007 Hertha Heller Forum: Unmanned Aircraft Systems

Hertha Heller Forum Lecture Series: Unmanned Aircraft Systems

It's indisputable: the increased usage of unmanned aircraft saves lives in the U.S. military. How is Redstone Arsenal involved? How are these machines, originally intended for military use, being used in the private sector?
Join us for the next lecture in our ongoing Hertha Heller Forum lecture series and find out. Tim Owings, Deputy Project Manager for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Project Office, will speak. He'll discuss the Army's different Unmanned Aircraft Systems and their changing uses, from purely military to domestic emergencies and patrol duty.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, and is free and open to the public, not just Friends of the Library. A question and answer period will follow Mr. Owings' presentation, and refreshments will be served.
