Make and take a craft each month.

August 6: Crochet a Rag Mug Rug
Learn a couple of crochet stitches and make a “mug rug” during the workshop. Learn how to prepare the fabric strips and how to crochet round and oval rugs. After the class, you can continue the project to make a full-sized rug. No crochet experience is needed.

Bring your own supplies, or pay a supply fee of $3 for a size P or Q crochet hook and one yard of firmly woven fabric such as a thrift store sheet to recycle.

The leader will bring all the other tools and supplies you’ll need to use during the workshop.

September 3: Beaded Kumi Himo Bracelet

Supply fee: $3 - please bring with you to the class

Kumi himo is a Japanese braiding technique. You will learn how to thread beads onto embroidery floss, and how to make the braid. Start a friendship bracelet in class. You’ll learn how to finish the bracelet at home. No braiding or beading experience is required.

All equipment and supplies for use in the workshop will be provided.

October 1: Make a Wet Felted Geode Pin Cushion @ Murphy
Supply Fee: $10 - payable at start of class
Make a ball with layers of colored fleece and learn how to wet felt the ball which can be cut into two pin cushions. At home, you can do the felting by hand or in your washing machine. No felting experience is needed.

The leader will bring all the tools and supplies for use in class.

November 5: Yo Yo Holiday Decorations @ Murphy

Learn how to join fabric yo yos into holiday decorations such as wreaths, trees and angels. In class, you’ll complete a wreath ornament or package trim. You’ll receive instructions to create other decorations. No sewing experience is needed.

Bring a thimble. The leader will bring all the other tools and supplies for use in class.
