Lunch & Learn: Nogginology - Maintaining Your Brain
Instructor: Amit Arora, M.D. Neurologist
Dates: Thursday, September 22 (program begins at noon and ends by 1PM)
Time:11:45 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Main Library Auditorium
Madison and Huntsville are located in the center of what doctors call the "Stroke Belt." This includes most of the Southeast, and people raised in this area have a much higher risk of stroke than anywhere else in the country. Because area residents are more likely to have a stroke, it is important for everyone to recognize stroke symptoms in themselves or a loved one. When it comes to stroke, seconds count! Thirty-two thousand brain cells die every second a stroke goes untreated. Fast, effective treatment is crucial to get the best possible outcome for a patient experiencing a stroke.
Auditorium
The auditorium is located on the first floor of the Main Library. After opening the exterior doors of the Main Library, immediately turn right. The auditorium is located straight ahead, at the end of the hallway.
