Produced by Fitness Arts Center and performed at the Madison Public Library, this costumed interpretation of the Nutcracker will bring a delightfully Irish style to the holiday classic. 

Enjoy cookies as we experience this holiday treat! Meet the costumed performers and learn about Irish Dance. Photo opportunites are available, just bring your camera!

Monrovia celebrates the joy of board games and computer games as we participate in the Alabama Library Association's International Games Day. Hang out and play your favorite board games with family, friends and other library visitors all day on Saturday, Nov. 3. Avoiding Homework Hassles

 

Join us right after the 4:30pm All Ages Storytime for this special workshop for parents.  Parent trainer Dana Trulock will offer some key tips to avoid Homework Headaches! Research tells us that children who do their homework regularly are more likely to be academically successful. This workshop will explore ways to encourage good study habits, provide support and motivation at home as well as how to work with your child’s teacher to help your child get the most out of homework.

The First Thanksgiving: A Virtual Field Trip

 

Through the magic of technology, we will travel to Plimoth Planation in Plymouth, MA to learn about the First Thanksgiving.  We will take a virtual tour of the Pilgrim Plantation and the Wampanoag Homesite!  Along the way we’ll meet some Pilgrims, Native Americans, talk about the differences between that Thanksgiving and the one we celebrate today and MORE!
