Services we offer
Blind & Physically Handicapped Library
The Subregional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is located in the Main branch of the Huntsville- Madison County Public Library. It is also part of a Library of Congress administered nationwide network of libraries serving persons who cannot use conventional printed materials.
Bookmobile
Our Bookmobile visits multiple locations around Madison County, providing mobile access to best sellers, DVDs, music CDs, children's materials, and large print materials.
Community Outreach
We perform several types of community outreach, including providing materials to Head Start classrooms and local nursing homes.
Community Partners
HMCPL shares space in the Main Library building downtown with several community partners, including the Madison County Tax Assessor's Office, Madison County Records Office, and the Calhoun Learning Lab
Computer Labs
We have computers available for public use at our branches, and a regular schedule of computer classes.
Interlibrary Loans
Need a specialized book we don't have on our shelves? We can get it for you through an interlibrary loan.
Meeting Rooms
Several of our branches offer meeting rooms that are available for public use. (See our meeting room policies.)
Speakers Bureau
Need a speaker? We can provide speakers on a wide range of library-related topics.
Wi-Fi
We offer free wi-fi to our patrons. All you need is your library card and PIN number. Don't have a library card? Stop by any of our public service desks and ask for a Guest PC User Card.
