Family Halloween Party

Calling all ghouls and ghosts! Mandy and Maggie have scared up a fun night for all ages at the Madison Library. Come dressed to trick-or-treat and gather candy in the costume parade. Don't miss the all-new puppet show, featuring the Hallo-weiner and friends in his puppetorial debut! We'll also have games, snacks and frightfully fun storytimes, of course! 

This fun for all ages event is free and open to the public.

Family Painting Day

Fall is here, and we're hooting with excitement! Family Painting Day is Saturday, October 6, at 10 a.m. at the Madison Public Library.

There will be a guided (step-by-step) class to create a new take on your family tree. A $5 fee covers all materials and is needed to secure your reservation for this fun for the whole family event. A Virtual Visit with Author J.K. Rowling

On Thursday, October 11, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling will participate in a live virtual author visit to classrooms across America to discuss the world of Harry Potter including Pottermore, an exciting, free online experience that offers Harry Potter fans the chance to explore and discover exclusive new writing by J.K. Rowling as well as immerse themselves in other interactive content and community activities.

The October 11 webcast will be broadcast live from J.K. Rowling’s hometown of Edinburgh, Scotland, and is the first time she has had the opportunity to answer questions from kids live since 2007.

You can view this webcast in the Auditorium of the Huntsville Public Library!

Come check out our Books Are Fun Book Fair!  This fair is a little different from the Scholastic book fair.  It has more toys and more grown up stuff.  It’s a perfect time to get started on your before Christmas shopping!
