Kiwanis Little Learners Tentative

Kiwanis Little Learners is a five week session where your librarians create a play center for parents and caregivers to bring their young child, birth-age three, to play and informally meet with family resource professionals. During our five weeks we learn about early literacy; nutrition; speech, hearing, and language; and child development. Our play area materials were purchased with generous gifts from Huntsville Library Foundation and Rocket City Mom. Sign-ups are required and can be done by dropping by or calling Youth Services at 256-532-5949, or by e-mailing Melissa Shuman at mshuman@hmcpl.org. Sessions last for an hour and fifteen minutes. Space is limited to twelve children between the ages of birth to three.
