Q: How much are you currently paying for janitorial services?
A: $1,618 per month
Q: Through all the sections in the work scope, it refers to the cleaning of interior glass. Is that just the interior dividing windows or all the perimeter windows and the dividing wall windows?
A: Windows includes the dividing wall windows and perimeter windows.
Q: In the general library section, it has scrub floors along corners, furniture and walls- Can you elaborate and state the intent please?
A: This is a monthly task that is a more detailed cleaning for debris that may have settled in crevices along corners, under furniture legs, and along walls.
Q: Exterior section, it has exterior window cleans, is that ground floor only or does it include second story exterior windows?
A: Second-story exterior windows are not included.
Q: Optional services section, deep cleaning of vct floors, is that a scrub and recoat or a full strip and wax? If it's a full strip and wax how many coats of wax? (standard is 4-6)
A: When the flooring was first cleaned, we were made aware that the chemical containing sodium hydroxide that is necessary to do the strip and wax was no longer readily available. We prefer a strip and wax but were told it can only be scrubbed. The flooring is Armstrong, Standard Excelon, Imperial Texture, Diamond 10 Technology. Based on this information, if you are able to do a strip and wax with the standard number of coats, you are welcome to provide us with quotes for both a deep clean and for a strip and wax.
Q: Outside of the building section, it states remove debris from side walks, can you clarify is that just leading to the entrances or the sidewalks around the building, to the playground and to the flag pole?
A: Debris will need to be removed in areas directly adjacent to the building. This does not include the playground or the area around the flagpole.
Q: Do you need for a electrostatic sprayer to be used to disinfect areas?
A: No, this is not required.
Q: Will sanitizing books be a part of the work?
A: No, this is not required.
Q: For the task of daily cleaning of computer screens and mice, will this be for both the public and staff computers?
A: This task is for the public computers.
Q: What is the approximate square footage for each flooring type?
A: Carpet: 8,065 square feet; Porcelain tile: 5,205 square feet; VCT: 1,048 square feet
